Yes, the Sony DSCW530 has a dreaded mail-in rebate, but if you follow all the steps and make copies of all your rebate info, this comes in as the top deal under $50. The Sony brand and the inclusion of a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery seals the deal for us on the SCW530.
If you're not a fan of rebates (who is?), the Fuji Finepix AV200 is a very suitable alternative; also at the $50 price-point. If you're planning on shopping at Kmart on Black Friday, you might want to consider adding this inexpensive camera to your shopping list as it's a pretty good deal, just probably not one worth camping out for. It's worth noting that this camera will be heavier and bulkier than the SCW530 because it takes AA batteries.
