One thing to notice about the laptop is that, like most netbooks, it does not include an optical (CD/DVD) drive. Best Buy and Target's Sunday Sales

As part of their 4-Day Sunday through Wednesday Pre-Black Friday Sale, Best Buy is having an exceptional deal on the LG 3.6 cu-ft White 5-Cycle Washer and the LG 7.0 cu-ft White 5-Cycle Electric Dryer for $349.99 each (50% off their normal retail price). Sharp AQUOS 1080p Blu-Ray Player for $79 after Rebate

Update: No longer available.

Onsale has the Sharp AQUOS 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player (BD-HP21U) for $79 after $50 mail-in-rebate. The $50 mail-in-rebate is only good for purchases up until today, November 19th at 11:59pm PST.

This is the absolute cheapest we've seen a name-brand Blu-ray player, the closest we've seen to this price is Military BX/PX offering a similar model for $99 this Black Friday. The BD-HP21U retails for $140 at Amazon.

The BD-HP21U is a first-generation Blu-ray disc player and like most first-generation players, had initial problems with readability and skipping errors. These issues have been corrected in the latest firmware update released by Sharp on October 26, 2009 available on go to Sharp's Software Downloads page (select Blu-ray Disc Players from the menu drop-down, BDHP21U under model and Firmware under Doc Type).

Best Buy's, Dell's and NewEgg's Pre-Black Friday Sales

Starting today, Best Buy is having an online-only Early-Bird Thanksgiving Sale. Sale is only valid Friday - Saturday and is only available online, not in-stores!

We're not entirely sure how this sale ties into Thanksgiving (maybe Best Buy's calendars are off), but it might provide some sort of unsaid preview of items that may be featured either in their Black Friday advertisement or items that will be available during their online sale on Thanksgiving.

Remember that until November 16th, Best Buy is offering $20 off any $100 online purchase if you pay through Paypal. PayPal will deposit the $20 cash back into your account within 2-3 weeks after the end of the promotion (about a week before Christmas).

NewEgg just started their Early Black Friday Deals which includes the Toshiba 32" 32AV502R 720p LCD HDTV for $329.99.

Nintendo Wii for $179.99 w/ Free Shipping at Dell

Dell has the Nintendo Wii Gaming Console for $179.99 w/ Free Shipping, $20 below retail for the Wii. Retailers are not allowed to advertise the Wii for under MSRP, so you need to add the Wii to your shopping cart to see the discounted price.

$20 may not seem like that great of a discount, but you will not see the Nintendo Wii for less than $200 this Black Friday. Walmart's November 7th Saturday Sale

Walmart is at it again, except this time they're not necessarily marketing it as a "Pre-Black Friday Sale." This Saturday, November 7th, starting at 8:00am, Walmart will be having an exclusive 6-item sale of the following products:

The Xbox 360, HP Laptop and Sony Blu-Ray player all have a guaranteed minimum of 10 per store. Below we have provided a bit of insight about the deals available.

Xbox 360 Arcade Console w/ $100 Walmart Gift-Card
The Xbox 360 deal is VERY HOT. If you are in the market for an Xbox 360 console, this is the absolute best deal we've ever seen.

The Xbox 360 comes in two varieties: Arcade ($199) and Elite ($299). Compared to the Elite, the Arcade version lacks the 120GB hard-drive and headset. We normally recommend the Elite over the Arcade because the aforementioned components cost more than $100 if purchased separately.

However, it's a whole different ballgame with the $100 gift-card being offered by Walmart. If you use the $100 Walmart gift-card, you are essentially getting the Xbox 360 Arcade console for $100. You can purchase a 20GB Hard-Drive and Headset for $50 at Buy.com and a 6' HDMI cable for $5 at Monoprice bringing the price of your total Xbox purchase to around $160: less than the original cost of the Xbox 360 Arcade itself.

I have an Xbox 360 w/ 20GB hard-drive and it is more than enough space for me. Only the hard-core gamers really require the 120GB hard-drive. Even so, if you want the hard-drive, it's only $135 at Walmart.com, which is still around $60 cheaper than the price of an Xbox Elite console.

HP G60-W519WM Laptop for $298
Very little is known about the G60-W519WM laptop because this laptop was made especially for Walmart (hence the WM in the model number). Luckily, some sleuths at SD found out the technical specifications for the laptop, listed below:

• Intel Celeron 900 (2.2GHz, 1MB cache, 800MHz FSB)
• Windows 7 Home Premium
• 3072MB DDR2 System Memory
• 250GB(5400rpm) Hard Drive
• 802.11b/g WLAN
• LightScribe SuperMulti 8x DVD +-R/RW Drive w/Double Layer Support
• 15.6" Diagonal High-Definition HP BrightView display
• Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M with up to 1309MB total available memory
• 3 USB 2.0 Ports

This is, by no means, a powerhouse of a laptop. We generally try to stay away from hindered, budget processors like the Celeron, but for $300 you can't really go that wrong. If you're on the fence about this laptop, I'd personally skip it and hope for better deals in the future.

Walmart currently has the Acer 15.6" AS5534-1096 Laptop PC with AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core Processor & Windows 7 Home Premium for $348 in this week's advertisement, so the chance of a similar or better $300 laptop appearing in a Black Friday advertisement is pretty likely.

Update: Ronald sent in a tip that BestBuy also has similar laptop for $329 on ad this week. The $300 Walmart laptop is a bit better, but it appears that the $300 laptop is a pretty common occurrence.

Panasonic TC-P46U1 46" 1080p Plasma HDTV - $788
The advertised price for the TC-P46U1 is $1200, however it appears to be a discontinued model. TigerDirect had the television on sale for $899 shipped earlier this month, representing only a $100 savings.

Sharp LCD TV, Magnavox DVD & Sony Blu-Ray Players
Walmart is currently offering the Sharp LC42SB45UT 42" 1080p LCD HDTV for $498, but it appears you can only purchase it in stores.

Update: Now that Walmart has published their November 7th sale on their website, we have learned the model numbers of both the Magnavox DVD player and the Sony Blu-Ray player. Unfortunately, a quick search reveals that both players are selling for around their normal retail price and aren't nearly the deal the Xbox 360 is.

We're still holding our breath for the first $100 Blu-Ray player.

At the time, we could not find any additional information on the Magnavox DVD player or the Sony Blu-Ray player, but when we do, we will keep you updated!
