Just wanted to tell you all to be careful on amazons lightning deals...although the deals are great...many dont ship until after christmas so be aware of that before you click confirm...

How does the NewEgg 10% off sale work? Do I need a coupon code? And do I get 10% off anything or just specific items?

I really am counting on NewEgg to have some great deals.

If t he ONLY thing they are doing is 10%, then I will be extremely disappointed. The nVidia 8800 GTX's came out a long time ago, but can still run games like Crysis on very high settings...so I'm hoping that a GPU like that will be very cheap. Oh well, guess we'll have to see!

NewEgg is getting absolutely hammered. You think with them being an online retailer, they'd be a lot better prepared for the holiday rush.

Yep, I have never seen Newegg get this slow. Any word on the 10% off code. Ive got everything I want in my cart but I don't know how to get the 10% off.

NewEgg didn't give us all the terms of their 10% off cash-back offer. It's only available if you are signed up for Bing Cashback. And even if you are, it's only showing up as 2% cashback.

I'm underwhelmed by what NewEgg has posted so far. Hopefully they add some good stuff. I mean... $22 for an 8GB MicroSD is not very impressive. I bought that last year for $17 on NewEgg.

What happened to the 10% off at NewEgg? That doesn't seem to be there at all. They are listing the Wii system as a black friday deal of $199.99. That is the exact regular, retail price? How is that a deal?

Also very annoyed with Dell. They had the wii system for $179.99. I kept trying to add it to my cart, but it wouldn't go through. It didn't say it was sold out, it didn't give me any error at all, it just kept saying the cart was empty.

Came back two hours later to try again, and now the price is $199.99 and they have plenty of them. Spoke with customer service, they "sold out" of the $179.99 deal. Yeah, that's what I call "bait and switch". Selling out of merchandise is one thing. "Selling out of a deal" is dishonest marketing. "Oh, we don't have any more of that for the advertised price, but we do have one for more money right over here"

It says the Sears items are online now, but they're not showing up for me. Last year I was able to order the stuff in the ad early. Will those prices change tonight?

I noticed the shortcut icon for Sams Club says the sale is expected to begin at 11pm CST (central), but the description below says 11 pm EST (eastern)...anyone know which is correct? I don't know if I can handle staying up until 2 tonight if I'm going to be up all night tomorrow night. Ugh.

Sears, also with a "special" Black Friday "sale" on the wii console for $199.99, the normal, everyday suggested retail price. I thought there were some laws that said you can't advertise something as a sale unless it was lower than the average daily price? I think Kohls got in trouble for that a few years ago.

Target is live and I was able to buy the Tom Tom XL340s for $108; this includes $6 shipping plus sales tax. I am soooo happy!

I am seeing some Sears ad prices showing up online, but not the Doorbuster prices. My local Sears offers a pickup option, which saves on shipping costs. I am thinking about buying one or two of the higher priced items, and returning them if I get to Sears in time for the Doorbuster price.

I went to Target.com and searched for "tom tom" in electronics. That showed up and let me add it to my cart and then check out.

I couldn't select Target items from ad but when I searched the site for the item, it was available at 3-day sa;e price.

We got the SHARP 46" LCD HDTV 1080p for $699! Wonderful deal, WM only has the 42" for $698. =P It really is a gorgeous TV and glad we decided to buy it! Thanks Newegg ^.^

FORGET Toyr R Us......... their free shipping is a come on....... and has nothing to do w/ spending $49.00 on their Black Friday Ad. You have to go to their free shipping site to find out what qualifies. Pus, the item I saw for $12.99 showed up at $24.99 at check out.

KOLHS amazing!!!! It took me over two hours of persistence to shop their on line BF specials. Got kicked off at every turn, including the final step of payment!

I won't do BF specials on line ordering ever, ever again. Not worth the time, trouble, frustration or sleeplessness. And, believe it or not, I am NOT a complainer by temperament!

Wow. It never showed up available to buy the HP Laptop. Now it shows sold out.! RIp off!

Wal-Mart was super easy. Came up at around 3:30. Got the HP laptop and three kids movies for $5 each. Bought them separately and actually got the movies with shipping free. That was soooooo much easier than standing in line!

Walmart: I was able to get the HP Deskjet printer for $25, the Disney Princess table for $18 and Imaginext T-Rex mountain for $19. Check out was very easy, all done. Only thing I am bummed about is missing the Nintendo DS Lite which was the FIRST thing I kept clicking and refreshing...It NEVER showed as "available" to me and now it says it's ALL GONE! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Yesterday Walmart had the ds's at both 98 at 129 listed, so I was going to try and go back and at least get it for 129, but they've taken that item down. So bummed, that was the santa gifts at my house. Going to have to scour for a good price now!

And yes I too kept Refreshing, they made a new link to the HP Laptop and that is not right. That is like being in line and then they open the back door and let people in to get items!

If you choose the "white" color it is still $49 on the website as of when I write this. If you want other colors, yes you will pay more.

After this I would rather spend a little more and give my $$$ to Best Buy.

I ended up getting the Magnavox Blu Ray player for $78 and .97 cents shipping before they sold out.... I laugh at the suckers in line at the store who will fight over the few they will probably have. :) .97 cents is worth staying in bed and not dealing with the in store hassles. (Walmart)

Kohl's online has always and forever been one of the worst shopping sites out there, even on a "regular" day. I refuse to buy anything online from them -- too much work, and I can usually find the deal elsewhere. Sears is not much better, either.

They have all of these great 2-Day Sale deals in their ad but you can't find the majority of them online..even if they say available online..wtf!? I wanted to pass on a tip. Anyone who did not get a DS at Walmart, try Amazon. They have the lightening deals. Look for the one in the Video Games category called "Gaming on the Go". I watched for it all day on Tuesday and got a pink DS Lite for $97.94 (free shipping, NO TAX) so it was about $10 bucks cheaper than Walmart. Then, Wednesday, I watched the same Lightening specials and got TWO Blue Nintendo DS Lites for the same price. So I was able to knock out 3 gifts and save 30 bucks. I don't know if they have any today, but just watch it every day. I paid for it and less than 24 hours later, it sent the Shipped Confirmation E-mail (7-9 business days). So much better than Walmart. I was AT Walmart at 3:00am this morning when I couldn't get any of the sites to work and we got 3 of the 32" $249 TV's, the $198 laptop, and the DS Starter Kits for $10. If we had to wait for the DS Lites, we wouldn't have gotten what we came for. We got in a checkout like at 5:30am and didn't check out until 8:00am. YES, 2 1/2 hours in the checkout! Worse that sitting on the Kohls website.

Amy, I'm having trouble finding the gaming on the go section? I don't see anything in the video games lightning deals that are coming up either. I'm determined to find 2 pink ds's!

I missed the DS online so I sent my hubby to the crowds at walmart. He was handed a ticket, was #98 out of 150 DS's they had. So glad we still got one afterall. He said the worst part wasn't fighting to get one since you got a ticket...but the check-out since the lines were all the way to the back of the store...crazy!!

Best Buy just put up some more $179.99 Compaq Comps. I went online and bought one. It doesn't have delivery option but you can have sent to the nearest store and pick up.. Just letting everyone know

jlmcclure - If you go to amazon.com and then up in the right hand corner, click on where it says: Black Friday Deals. Then sort it to just the video games. They end it mid-afternoon every day so when the deals are over for the day, there won't be any Video Game selections. You can just check back each morning. Thats what I did. When the video game deals come up, its like a gold treasure chest and a question mark and it will say Upcoming Deal. Below it will be a "hint" of what the deal is. You can use the arrow and scroll through the deals. The "Gaming on the Go" isn't on there every time, but if you check first thing in the morning, you can see if it WILL be there (unless they decide to change the description). It will give you a clock countdown as to when they will show what the deal is. I set my iPhone to sound an alarm 30 minutes before the time the deal will show because I usually forget (on the pink one, I had to wait 6 hours to see the deal). You won't know what color its going to be or the price til that time. Its best to be there right when it pops up (you don't have to refresh the screen or anything like with Ebay). I tried to get a laptop and they were sold out within 5 minutes. The DS was sold out in an hour (so there WAS time). A friend of mine at work got a pink one too. Best Buy is sold out of the $179 HP Mini Netbook 110 in CA, which had to be picked up at a local store. But if you use the Customer Service "Call Me" function, you can place an order for the $229 Windows 7 Starter version of the same machine -- and they can ship it to you for $15. Good luck! I'm done with all my shopping now. =D

I tried to buy the $98 Nintendo DS Lite at 12:00 am on 11/26, but the Walmart website site said they were out of stock. However, the website also had the DS Lite available at $129 at the same time. Then I checked again at 5:15 am thinking that maybe their online sale started at 5 am like their in-store sale. That time all the DS Lites were sold out. I managed to get one at my local Walmart store, but not the color (pink) that my child wanted. I am hoping I can exchange it for a pink system whenever they are restocked in a couple weeks.

It wasn't too cold yesterday in the morning where I live, about 40 with a slight breeze. Went to Sears and got the GPS I wanted. I waited for about a half an hour. That was the longest line I waited in all day.

I got up at 2:30 and went to target to get one of the tomtoms. My sis and I got lucky, it looked like they only had maybe 5 or 6 in the whole store. You even had to go down the tiny GPS isle to get it. My mom went to Walmart and said that people were taking things off the pallets by 3:30. Interestingly, my sis and I went to Walmart after 12 noon and they still had pallets of the TVs, portable DVD player, and both the Magnavox and Sony blu ray players.

Did anyone else notice, but there wasn't as much great deals as there was the years before? I didn't find anything that was worth waking up at midnight to wait in line. I suppose that was good...

When I got to Walmart it was absolutely crazy. They had the merchandise roped off, and someone in the crowd yelled "go" about 10 minutes early. It looked like a jail break. Honestly, where I live, it was more calm in years past when they opened the door and people just filed in.

I found some really good deals this year. I picked up a new router on newegg for 17 bucks! I also found this really cool new daily deal site that has everything. I'm addicted. Hopefully this works.
