PacSun Ads Posted, Meijers and Sam's Club Ad Scans

We have just posted the 16-item PacSun Black Friday Advertisement Information. There is no advertisement scan. All of the items listed are good at PacSun.com only, the only promotion they are doing in-store for Black Friday is a universal 20% Off Any Purchase before 1PM. Additionally, every $50 purchase qualifies you for a $25 PacLoot Gift Certificate which can be redeemed November 25 – December 15, 2007.

I’ve been told by a PacSun representative that the 20% off and PacLoot offers stack (you can combine both offers). With these two deals, you could purchase $62.50 worth of clothing, use the 20% discount to bring the total down to $50 and then receive a free $25 GC (essentially getting $87.50 worth of goods for $50; a maximum savings of 40%).

I know that PacSun has a pretty specific demographic; but for the past two years they have directly sent us their advertisement. We appreciate the attitude PacSun has towards BFAds.net and highly encourage our visitors to check out their sales.

Both Meijer and Sam’s Club have released their Black Friday Advertisements on their websites, and we have updated our Advertisement Scans page to reflect these changes.

We’ll have more advertisements up tomorrow and on Monday, we can finally unveil the Walmart Black Friday Sale Advertisement. We’ll also be revealing a couple new features tomorrow to help your Black Friday shopping experience.

If you purchase $62.50 worth of clothes at 20% off, you are spending $50 out of pocket and getting a $25 gift certificate. You aren't spending $25 to get $62.50 worth of merchandise, because you spent $50 and no gift certificate is going to change that initial outlay.

You are spending $50 to get $87.50 worth of items.

I mean, it's 40% off like you say and that's still a good deal, but the way you describe "spend $25 and get $62.50" is wrong... that's 60% off, and that's not what the deal is.
