Kohl's has upped the ante by allowing up to 4 coupon codes to be stacked at one time! Now you can easily combine your favorite codes with Kohl's Cash and (if you're a member) the many benefits of a Kohl`s Charge Card! Some codes are exclusive to Kohl's Charge Card carriers, but many great stackable coupons are available for everyone. We've made it easy with a list of the hottest ones we can find!
In the past Kohl's allowed only 2 coupon codes to be used at one time. They eventually allowed 3 codes; and now we're up to 4! Unfortunately, more times than not the active codes are either not stackable, have pesky exclusions or the out-the-door price is not the best deal around - even with Kohl's Cash figured in. Luckily, a slew of great stackable coupons have become available, allowing shoppers to build the deal they want and get $10+ in Kohl's Cash to spend on purchases of $50 or more later!
The Current Sales, Offers and Coupons are:
Department Specific (these stack with sitewide percent off coupons):
CLEARANCE25 - Extra 25% Off Select Clearance for Women, Men, and Kids (exp. 10/19)
SHIP2YOU - Free Shipping on Any Order with Kohl's Charge (exp. 10/26)
FREE4MVC - Free Shipping on Any Order with Kohl's Charge (exp. 10/26)
Kohl's Cash is available to everyone and is currently $10 back to spend at Kohl's for every $50 spent. These Kohl`s Cash rates are valid until October 22nd. The Kohl's Cash earned will be valid October 23rd through November 2nd. Last year we saw as much as $15 back on every $50 spent and we anticipate the current rate to be increased as we edge closer to Black Friday. We also hope to see the same great high percentage off coupon codes available for all customers that popped up in years past.
The Kohl's Charge Card offers many perks like exclusive coupons and access to free shipping with no minimum purchase codes. Also, if you spend over $600, you become a Most Valued Customer (MVC) with at least 18 discounts a year! Great deals can still be had at Kohl's without the card, however, if you frequent Kohl's the added discounts, exclusive codes and members only offers make the Kohls Charge Card something to seriously consider!
As we strive to deliver better and better deals and tools to optimize your Black Friday 2014 (and beyond!) shopping experience, it would seem newspapers are taking a step backwards.
Popular journalist and journalism blogger Jim Romenesko was alerted last month that certain newspapers were planning to charge loyal subscribers for "premium" issues, including the Thanksgiving Edition. In the case of the Chicago Tribune, getting your Black Friday 2014 ads on Thanksgiving will cost subscribers an extra two dollars. The Detroit Free Press delivered to your doorstep on 11/27/14 will cost an extra dollar.
TIME picked up the story, and opined that this seems like backward thinking on the part of newspapers. This isn't some special edition - the "premium" content provided the day before Black Friday is almost exclusively made up of ads that stores already pay the newspaper to deliver to you. Poor sport, double dipping. TIME also points out that most people put up with ads to lower the price of their subscription, and here they are being used to justify an extra cost to subscribers. At two dollars per subscriber, the extra profit to the Tribune would be somewhere in the neighborhood of a half million dollars. One must also wonder how the company can provide a free daily newspaper for twenty-somethings, but wants to bilk subscribers on the eve of the most important shopping day of the year.
Mix108, a radio station in Duluth, MN, reports that at least one local paper there is doing the same thing. We can't find an exhaustive list, but if your local paper or a national paper that you subscribe to is doing this, we would love for you to send us a message and let us know!
The good news is that, according to Jim Romenesko, if you call and complain to the Tribune and the Freepress they will refund the premium charge. The better news is you can see all the ad scans for Black Friday 2014 for free right on our Adscans Page, usually long before the newspapers over charge you for them.
According to an unconfirmed source within the company, Belk Stores are planning to begin their Black Friday 2014 online sale at midnight the morning of Wednesday, November 26th.
At physical locations, the oh-so-enticing Black Friday prices will go into effect at 4PM Wednesday and stores will remain open until 9PM.
For those unfamiliar with Belk, it is a mid to upscale family-owned department store chain with 306 locations in 16 different Southern states. Their 2013 Black Friday adscan came in at 72 pages, with 1,204 total items.
Check back often as Amazon is running numerous Holiday Toy Lightning Deals and the prices on the Toy List are always changing. We anticipate they will continue to drop prices more dramatically as the big day approaches! If you can't get enough toy books we also have Mills Fleet Farm and Blain's Farm & Fleet live right now on our Adscan page!
'Tis the season to shop early! Amazon has announced that Prime members have another exclusive benefit to add to their list. Effective immediately, they'll be able to purchase selectAmazon Lightning Deals 30 minutes before they become publicly available. Eligible Lightning Deals are marked "Prime Early Access Deal" below the % claimed bar on the Gold Box Deals page.
MyHabit.com, Amazon's sister site with daily sales featuring up to 60% off designer brands, will also be offering early access to sales events 30 minutes before they are available to other customers. Prime Members can shop sales at MyHabit starting at 8:30 AM PST while regular members of the site can enter their sales at 9:00 AM PST.
MyHabit membership is free. You can sign in with your existing Amazon information or create a new account. Amazon Prime costs $99.00 a year; if you're not already a member, you can sign up for a one-month free trial here. Other Prime membership benefits include free 2-day shipping on select items, access to Prime Instant Video and being able to borrow books from the Kindle Lending Library.
For our purposes this is exciting news; we predict Amazon is getting people used to the idea of this being a perk so they can give Amazon Prime members first crack at Black Friday 2014 doorbuster pricing online. The even better news is that as long as they keep the 1-month free trial promotion going (and you aren't already a member) you can start your free membership October 30th or later and get your Black Friday shopping done during the trial period - then cancel before you pay the $99 yearly fee. Sign up November 3rd to get in on Cyber Monday stuff, too. You're welcome shoppers!
We all remember the impact Macy's store hours had on Black Friday discussions last year when we broke the news that they'd be opening at 8PM on Thursday - right after Thanksgiving Dinner. Some of their hottest while-supplies-last doorbusters were even more highly coveted due to the painful choice of whether to shop or stay for dessert.
Macy's wasn't the first store to have Thursday hours for Black Friday; Old Navy, and Lowe's Home Improvement started their sales on Thursday morning last year, and some stores announced "marathon hours" that started Thanksgiving morning and remained open through the night of Black Friday.
Last year, there was an overwhelming online response from holiday shoppers and BFAds commenters. Some of them were upset, stating that retailers shouldn't edge in on Thanksgiving family time while others were elated that they had the opportunity to get their shopping done even earlier. No matter what side of the debate they were on, customers were talking about Macy's early opening hours for weeks - and the trend continues in 2014. In an email sent out to Macy's employees last Thursday, the department store giant announced that they are opening their doors at 6PM on Thursday 11/27. Macy's executives requested that employees volunteer to work, stating that "there is no question that...customers are eager to begin their holiday shopping on Thanksgiving Day."
The company's official word via this USA Today article was that this year's even earlier start time was "...in response to the significant, sustained customer interest in last year's opening on Thanksgiving" despite the email itself citing "competitive pressure" as their reasoning. Whatever their motivations may be, Macy's stores will not be the only ones to open around Thanksgiving dinner time this year. Early openings appear to be a continuing trend - and we'll keep updating as the stores announce them.
Let us know your opinions in the comments below. No matter when you plan to start shopping, whether you brave the lines or buy online, BFAds is here to help you prepare.
Ladies and gentlemen, the votes are in! It was an especially close call this year. Multiple designs took the top spot throughout the week, and less than 300 votes determined our finalist. The polls are closed, the people have spoken, and we are proud to announce that this year's official BFAds t-shirt design is Black Friday Silhouette!
With the winning design now announced, it's time for the golden question: how do I get one?
Currently, there are two ways to get a BFAds 2014 t-shirt:
We are selling shirts very close to cost and all proceeds from shirt sales will be donated to your choice of one of the following six charities: Breast Cancer Research Foundation, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Toys for Tots, Fisher House Foundation or Ronald McDonald House.
Further, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, for every shirt sold in October, BFAds will donate an additional $1 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation! Last year, we were able to raise over $10,000 across all charities!
There will be plenty of other opportunities to win shirts throughout October and November (including our largest November give-away to date); we just haven't finalized all the details yet. If have any good contest ideas, we'd love to hear them in the comments!
If you plan on carving a pumpkin this year, enter into our contest for a chance to win up to $250 and a free BFAds t-shirt. In total, we will be giving away $500 in gift certificates and 25 BFAds 2014 t-shirts to the top entries!
Submissions are due Thursday, October 30 by 11:59pm CST. The top three carvings will be featured on our site, Friday, October 31st and a public vote will decide the final rankings.
Looking for some inspiration? Check out the submissions from 2011, 2012 and 2013!
The rules and entry form are available on our Halloween Contest page; please make sure you read the rules in order to have your submission count.
We are biased, so carvings that have a Black Friday or BFAds theme will probably receive preferential treatment.

Target has confirmed that their Black Friday 2014 "main event" will span the 27th-29th, a nice three-ish day sale. There was a lot of controversy last year about our favorite holiday leaking into Thanksgiving, but now that the barrier has already been breached, we believe the sales will slowly creep earlier and earlier into the week.
Target's official Black Friday page is teasing us with the dates, but holding back the actual start time, and asking you to trade your email address in exchange for the "scoop about Black Friday". If they were simply starting at the same time they did last year, this ploy would be doomed to fail. We predict that Target will deliver on the pageantry, and announce that their sale starts Thanksgiving morning around 8:00 AM.
Kmart has officially announced Thanksgiving morning as their start time; as reported by Seattle NBC affiliate King5, Kmart stores will start their Black Friday 2014 event at 8:00 AM Thanksgiving, and won't close until Friday night.
Toys R Us/Babies R Us stores have posted a listing of their locations and the Black Friday 2014 sale openings for each store; the vast majority of them will be open at 5 PM on Thanksgiving Night. Click here to check your local store's sale hours.
Finally, we already have confirmation that BestBuy and Macy's are planning to repeat last year's controverial dinner-time openings on Thanksgiving day. King5 in the article linked above reports that Best Buy will be opening its doors for Black Friday at 6 PM, and ABC Affiliate WSB-TV out of Atlanta is reporting that an internal e-mail from Macy's has them opening at the same time due to "competitive" pressure.
We imagine this trend will continue for years to come; early openings were profitable last year, and stores will be starting their sales earlier to beat one another in the race for eager Black Friday shoppers. For all the ads and news for Black Friday 2014 and beyond, subscribe to our newsletter. Happy Shopping!
The Black Friday 2014 ads cometh! We've got our first ad scan of the season, and as expected, it's for the Black Friday in the Great White North.
As was the case with last year, the Sears Canada ad is our first leak of 2014. Canadian Thanksgiving is celebrated on the 2nd Monday in October, which falls on October 13th. As such, the ad and sale will run from Thursday Oct. 9th through Monday Oct. 13th.
Similar to last year, there are no major doorbusters listed. Rather, the ad has prevalent discounts on home items such as furniture, tools, and appliances. For example, a Cuisinart 5.5-qt. Stand Mixer is 50% off, priced at $249.99 from $499.99. There is a Craftsman 72-pc. Screwdriver Set on sale for $19.99, a discount of 75%.
If the trends from last year continue, we anticipate seeing some adleaks closer to home very soon. Last year, the first American Black Friday Ad was posted within 5 days of the 2013 version of this ad, and after that it was a deluge of deals, so keep your eyes here!

This laptop received mixed ratings on Newegg with 3 out of 5 eggs (stars) based on 15 customer reviews. After reading through the reviews, the main complaints were that it is nearly impossible for the average person or even computer geeks to upgrade due to the laptop having to be almost completely disassembled to add memory or an SSD hard drive. This really isn't a problem for people who just want an inexpensive laptop with a good processor and will just buy a new laptop when they want to upgrade.
Take note that this does not have a DVD drive and the track pad is reportedly quite sensitive so a USB mouse and USB DVD drive might be good accessories for it.
Ann Taylor is currently taking an extra 50% to 75% off sale styles with coupon code "FALLSALE". Discount is taken off in cart. Offer is valid until Friday the 17th. Shipping is free on orders of $100 or more; otherwise, shipping costs $8.95. Sales are final. Sizes available vary by color and style. Ann Taylor sales like this one are super rare, and items tend to sell out quickly, so if you have your eye on something it's best to hurry!
Its happening! The first (American) adscan for Black Friday 2014 has leaked, and we had it first. As predicted based on previous years it was Harbor Freight! We've still got a full listing of items on our Hot Deals page, and of course below we've got the better than Black Friday deals from this morning's deal-hunting. If you haven't already, you can click here to subscribe to our Hot Deals newsletter and/or Black Friday updates; then you'll be the first to know when new ads go up for all of our favorite stores. Thanks for checking BFAds today, and enjoy the deals!
Olive Garden is offering their Classic Soup, Salad and Breadsticks Lunch Combo for $5 until 4PM each day through October 17th with this printable coupon. Only valid at participating locations. One coupon per visit per table.
Today Canon is offering Buy One Get Four Free photo paper in various sizes with glossy and matte finishes. Sizes range from 4x6 to 8.5x11 and prices start at $8.49. The only deal we've seen this year that comes close to this hot is B1G1 Free on HP photo paper from Staples on Black Friday 2013.
This paper goes well with all Canon Pixma printers and could be a great add-on or gift for anyone who recently took advantage of one of the DSLR Camera and Pixma printer combo deals we have been seeing for the last few months. The gloss and gloss II paper have both received 4.7 out of 5 stars on Amazon. The matte paper, however, received 3.7 out of 5 stars. Many of the lower ratings complain about how it is not traditional matte photo paper, but card stock.

Buydig (via eBay) has the 16GB Apple iPad Air w/ Retina Display (MD788LL/A) on sale for $389.99 with free shipping. On Black Friday 2013, Target had it bundled with a $100 Gift Card for $479.99. That effectively makes today's deal only $10.00 more than on Black Friday. This model is the newest version, with an Apple A7 CPU and iOS 8. It also has a bigger, better display as well as a longer battery life. Rated 4.5/5 at Amazon based on 1,663 customer reviews. CNET gave it an 8.6/10. Here's The Guardian's list of the 23 Best iPad Games/Apps of the Week to help you get all set up.
Amazon has The Last of Us (PS3) on sale for $19.99 with Free Super Saver Shipping on orders of $35 or more. That's $5.00 less than last year, when Walmart had it as a doorbuster on Thanksgiving night for $25.00. It is also the lowest price ever on Amazon, according to Camelcamelcamel. It has 4.7/5 stars based on 2,504 customer reviews. IGN gave it a perfect 10/10. Rated M for Mature.
