Cabela's 5-hour Black Friday sale begins at 5am Friday morning and if the deals themselves weren't enough motivation to get you to the store, each Cabela's location will be giving away $8,700 in prizes to the first 600 shoppers in line before 5am!
Prizes include a Browning X-Bolt Medallion Rifle ($800), Go Pro camera ($400), Masterbuilt 30-in. smoker ($350), Nikon rangefinder ($250), Bushnell binoculars and Cabela's gift cards worth up to $100. Assuming only one of each of the big items is given away, that still works out to around a $10 gift card for the remaining 590-or-so people in line; not too shabby just for showing up.
Staples' Black Friday sale starts at 8pm Thanksgiving night for a very short four hour doorbuster sale. Staples will then reopen at 6am on Black Friday, however there doesn't appear to be any guarantee that the store won't be picked over or second-event incentives that make the reopening all that appealing.
And it turns out that the Kindle Fire we saw in the Staples 4-item preview is actually the original Kindle Fire 8GB, not the HD version, which isn't that great of a deal considering Best Buy is selling the 16GB Kindle Fire HD for only $20 more.
CVS' Black Friday sale begins Thanksgiving day with prices valid through Saturday, November 30. The sole exception is the 4-pack of batteries (AA or AAA) for $4.39, which are available only on Thursday.
At four pages, this is very likely the full CVS ad. All deals require a CVS card, with some even providing additional "plus dollars," which are dollar-equivalent credits that can be used towards future CVS purchases.
NOV 13 UPDATE: We have updated the Best Buy Black Friday ad from 23-pages of online screenshots to the official 20-page print ad. The new scans include helpful SKU and model numbers for most of the items and should hopefully make the ad much easier to reference when the Best Buy Black Friday ad comes out with the weekly paper.
Best Buy's "A Better Way to Black Friday" sale begins Thanksgiving night at 6pm, but tickets good for the purchase of doorbuster items will be handed out to those in line as early as 4pm!
And judging from the quality of sales contained in the Best Buy Black Friday ad, we're going to assume that if you really want one of the doorbusters, you're going to need to get in a line quite a bit before 4pm.
The Dick's Sporting Goods Black Friday sale starts at 8pm Thanksgiving night and with doorbusters available until 2pm Friday. Dick's larger, more general, Black Friday sale runs Thursday through Saturday.
Doorbusters include apparel from Nike, Under Armour and North Face along with select golf equipment, treadmills and ammunition! Dick's is also hosting a 3-day Hunting Sale featuring up to $100 Off regular-priced guns, as well as discounted camouflage hunting gear and gun safes.
Shopko is hosting two Black Friday sale events this year: one that starts at 8pm Thanksgiving night and another that starts 5am Friday morning; both which run until noon on Black Friday.
The Thanksgiving night event definitely takes up the lion's share of the ad, occupying 45 of the 51 pages; leaving only 6 pages for the Friday morning and 3-day sale to share.
Interestingly, Shopko is advertising their online sale as starting Wednesday, November 27. Last year both Kohl's and Express started their Black Friday sales first thing Wednesday morning, perhaps a strategy we see duplicated by more retailers this year.
Bass Pro Shops will open their doors starting at 5am this Black Friday with doorbuster prices lasting until 11am.
If this ad looks familiar, that's because it is heavily sourced from their 2012 ad. Most strikingly, page 3 of the Black Friday 2013 ad is almost a complete copy from last year's ad.
Note that this is not the complete Bass Pro Black Friday ad, rather just the four pages of doorbusters. The full ad should be closer to 50 pages long. Although, given the similarities between this and last year's ad, you could probably browse through the 2012 version and have a decent chance of assuming the same (or similar) item will be available again this year.
Bealls Florida has added an element of chance to its Black Friday sale while encouraging customers to shop over 500 "Beall" ringer deals Thanksgiving night / Black Friday morning.
Bealls' Black Friday sale starts at 8pm Thanksgiving night where one of the first 100 shoppers will win an Apple iPad Mini.
The giveaways continue throughout the night as Bealls will donate $10,000 to the top two voted schools as determined by the first 500 Black Friday customers. Further, every customer that participates in the vote will receive a free $5 off coupon.
And finally, at 7am on Black Friday, Bealls will award one (of the first 200) lucky customer a 20% Lifetime Discount along with a free $25 gift card.
Walmart is bringing back the staggered three-event structure this year, with the first round of Black Friday sales at 6pm on Thanksgiving Day, and the second round of doorbusters set to begin two hours later at 8pm.
The final, third event starts Friday morning at 8am and lasts all weekend long.
Also returning for a second year is the Walmart "1 Hour In-Stock Guarantee" on a sizable assortment of doorbuster items (up from only 3 offered last year). The guarantee states that the designated items will remain in-stock and available for purchase within 1 hour of their associated event start. If any of the items sells out, you can purchase a "Guarantee Card" which will ensure that you will get the item before Christmas at the advertised Black Friday price.
We have listed a handful of the qualifying items below:
Target will be kicking off their Black Friday sale at 8pm Thanksgiving night with deals on hundreds of spectacular doorbusters! Interestingly enough, we could not find when the doorbuster pricing ends, only noting that page 36 says the sale prices are good through Sunday, November 30.
At first glance, this is a very impressive ad. Certainly the most impressive one we've seen thus far and a real contender for ad of the year. We've highlighted just a couple of the many great deals below:
