PayPal Announces a new Price Matching Program
Not wanting to let the retailers have all the fun, PayPal has just announced a revised Price Match Program for PayPal Insiders.
The new policy allows users to receive price-adjustments on purchases they make through PayPal between November 1 through December 31, 2012. If you see a lower advertised sale price within 30 days of purchase, you can file a claim and receive the difference up to $250 per item and $1000 total.
Unfortunately, there is a catch: the first is that the Price Match Policy does not include fire sales, door-busters, or sales valid for less than one day - all but eliminating all Black Friday offers.
Update: The PDF says that all valid US PayPal account-holders are eligible for the price matching policy, however the PDF is hosted on the domain meant for PayPal Insiders - those who actively spend over $5000 per year through PayPal. We've reached out to PayPal for clarification. Thanks to Eric Whitt for pointing this out!
Regardless of who qualifies, it is still a welcomed promotion seeing as "price-protection" policies are now becoming a rarity among credit cards.
