Nothing will beat the huge disappointment of Best Buy's ad last year. Hopefully this year will be better.
Darkstar3330 at 11/11/09 11:17am
Where are all of the deals?!?!?!? I am getting more and more disappointed each time an ad comes out.
jtomlinson at 11/11/09 11:56am
I'm with everyone else that's been disappointed so far this year. Thought for sure that there would be more deals than this...
cavecreekmom at 11/11/09 12:07pm
Wow..there are better deals at Target on a weekly basis and in their holiday catalog than is on the ad for Black Friday. I have yet to see anything to encourage me to get out of bed that morning. I go every year but this might be the first one I sleep in. Bummer. Target, shame on you!
ACowboysWife at 11/11/09 12:09pm
Does Target sell these online or do you have to go to the store? I would love the 32" for $246.
klbb at 11/11/09 12:45pm
Wow, this is a shame. I so look forward to Target and this is a HUGE DUD. I think they ran a similar IPOD nano and touch offer 2 weeks ago. :(
Not sure I need to shop there this Black Friday.
Oh well.

Wow! I guess the stores are skipping BF this year. What a sad ad. Lets pray it changes before it is officially release. This is just terrible. ACowboysWife, you can get a 32" at Target now for $300 now or cheaper online, if you don't feel like waiting on BF.
SammieGA at 11/11/09 02:06pm
Maybe retailers aren't expecting shoppers to have the cash for big ticket items so the focus is more on smaller gifts. If you're looking for small gifts, I thought the Target ad was pretty good. So far I think I'll be hitting Target or Sears first.
sadie_mae at 11/11/09 02:18pm
I thought target said they would have good deals, most of the stuff is not that good of a deal, what gives this is getting sad after all. But depending on the others, they do have a few small things i need to pick up, but if cheaper elsewhere i will skip it.

Like uhhhh, this ad sucks and stuff!!!!! Like what is like going on and stuff? The economy is in the tank and stuff and like they want to say that these are like great BF buys, well uhhhhh like, no and junk. I am like soooo disappointed and stuff. There is not like one thing worth for me to stay out for all night and stuff. Let's hope and stuff that Best Buy and Walmart come through and stuff. I gotta wash my hair now, Bye!!!
rockstar1009 at 11/11/09 07:11pm
Was no one here last year? The economy has tanked, so the retailers don't have the money to offer good sales. They have to be as conservative with their stocking and pricing as consumers have to be with their spending, and are therefore trending toward discounting small token items like DVDs and BRDs and not big-ticket merchandise like TVs and PCs. Best Buy, Fry's and Walmart will probably be underwhelming this year, as they were last year as well; these meager ads really aren't a grand surprise. Don't expect great brands to show up in the remaining ads, either (for those new to the Black Friday game, BF is a big day for low tier brands like Sceptre, Olevia, E-machines, Acer etc., while late December is great for top tier brands like HP, Sony, Panasonic, etc.). Online is probably the way to go again this year (Amazon matching retail prices for the win!).
barkerx5 at 11/11/09 07:53pm
I am not surprised so much this year at the prices. I was looking at at least one store to have one big ticket item for a great price. I did however pay 475 for the same TV that target has 3 years ago. So, it is a good TV at a good price. I still have it, and works fine!
moawia at 11/11/09 09:13pm
oh wowwwww this Black friday looks like ughh so black, nothing good at all.
I was like omgggggggg staples and target ad's are out, after viewing them, i was like i wish they were never out, what a disappointment, real bad sales :(

I think it's because of how crazy people have been getting the past few years that they don't want the crowds anymore....idiots always take the fun out of everything!!!
reshaffer at 11/12/09 07:33am
btw...has anyone tried the Sears online layaway? I put a wii on layaway and it's working out well. Great deal, especially the layaway part!
mommybear24 at 11/12/09 08:25am
I agree! I always look forward to Black Friday but this year I even told my husband I haven't seen anything worth getting me up THAT early to go shopping for. Maybe I'll wait for the After Black Friday sales
taramke at 11/12/09 09:30am
I think I will sleep in this year and not be in a rush to get out shopping.
iromerofl at 11/12/09 10:16am
It also has an error on it. The western digital external hd for 59.98 reads that it is a 1tb drive, however, the circle over the drive image states it is a 500gb drive. Which one is it?
rockstar1009 at 11/12/09 12:00pm
The 1TB drive is on the 3rd page of the .pdf. It's that way because of how 90k5 scanned the papers in - the two drives are on opposite sides of the insert's fold (you can see the Memorex DVD player, how it's cut in half on pages 3 & 5). $60 gets you your choice of 3.5" 1TB or 2.5" 500GB. My 10% Redcard reward coupon can get me the 1TB drive for $54, which is one of the few deals in this add (next to $8.10 after coupon blu rays) that will actually cause me to bother shopping the B&Ms on Black Friday. Hopefully Best Buy and Walmart will offer some decent deals that can be price-matched at Target (and reduced by another 10% after coupon). :D
The $10 GC after $100 purchase will get me some mileage here as well.

Looks like the media is trying to hype BF deals for retailers, even if there really aren't any deals. http://customsites.yahoo.com/financiallyfit/finance/article-108151-3171-0-targets-black-friday-bet-3-appliances?ywaad=ad0035

Wow, each year on BF my hubby and I would get up real early hit the Starbucks and then have a blast racing around for our kids...guess we'll just get up late and have some Starbucks at home...the bad economy must be hitting these big stores too. Bummer year.
menic1 at 11/15/09 01:03pm
Does anyone know if Target will be offering these deals Online or in-store only?
charlesd222 at 11/16/09 11:08am
Hey menic1,
I believe these deals will be an In store only.. they will probobly have deals online as well but usually on Black Friday most retailers like the in store only deals so they get a lot of people to come into the store that day. I know for sure I will be one of the first people at Target this year as they have awesome deals and better than last year! Camera for $88, GPS $97, free gift cards and etc.! Hopefully Walmart comes out soon!

To anyone that is buying the Westinghouse:
Good luck returning it in 7 months because it doesn't work. All Westinghouse products will break within 1 year.
